Yeah he has cowboy in his blood….
Haven’t shared anything about Asa in awhile. So I thought I would put up a quick video. The boy is talking and being his typical awesome self. I love how he says “cow.” It’s like he’s from Boston. Enjoy.
32 Hours: the church in Haiti
Stop whatever you’re doing right now and watch this sermon by my pastor Mark Driscoll. Pastor Mark went to Haiti last week and this sermon has a lot of video from his trip. I hope it will change you like it did me.
Asa v. the Dog Door – Round 2
This video is of Asa’s struggle with Cali’s dog door. See who wins the battle this time.
Asa v. the Dog Door
Asa discovered that he isn’t quite small enough to fit through Cali’s dog door. He hasn’t really gone near it since this happened.
Asa is fearless
We went to a friend’s son’s birthday party last week at the local community center. The place has a sprinkler park that is pretty sweet. We didn’t know how Asa would react, but we brought his swim trunks anyways. He was a little hesitant at first, but as soon as he got wet it was hard to keep him out. He was crawling all over the place. It was awesome.
Asa is walking!
Asa took his first steps a little over a month ago, but he decided to get serious about it today. We got some video of it. So I thought I would share. Hope you enjoy it.
Asa’s First Birthday Party
Here is video from Asa’s First Birthday Party. It was a lot of work, but we had a great time. I’m going to bed now.
Asa is crawling!!!!!
For those of you that didn’t catch the live feed yesterday, I thought I would post the video on here. At about 5 pm yesterday, Asa finally figured out how to work his hands into the crawling equation and started crawling. The video below is literally minutes after Asa started crawling for the first time (thanks to my jail broken iphone).
Asa learned to Army Crawl
Asa is fast on his way to crawling. I caught a little video of him army crawling the other day. Just so you know, there is a littel surprise at the end.
Working on the House – Update 1
As you know, we moved into our house back in Dec and have to make a lot of renovations. So Shannon and I took this week off to try and get everything done. Here is our to do list for the week.
- turn half wall into full wall in master bedroom (frame, drywall, and mud)
- tear down fake brick chimney
- paint living room
- paint bedroom
- finish paint cabinets
- finish painting guest bath
- install bucket lights in kitchen
Shannon and I are trying to get this all done by Wednesday, because we head out on Thursday for our 5 year anniversary. Hopefully I won’t die by then. My hands hurt so bad right now from swinging a sledge hammer yesterday. It’s a lot of fun swinging a sledge hammer while you’re doing it, but you have a price to pay the next day for all the fun.
